For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16 NIV)
As our culture reminds us that it’s Valentine’s Day, we are taking a moment to celebrate the love that God has for you . This is a love that is greater than all other earthly loves, that nothing can take away and that will truly last forever. You are loved by the Creator of the universe, the Author of life, and the Love that makes all other loves possible by his grace.
For all who are celebrating the holiday with a special someone, we rejoice with you in the Source of your love. And we pray that your relationship will be an example to others of how much God’s loves his people.
For all our single friends, we rejoice in God’s love for you. And we pray that your devotion to the Lord will be a testimony to others of God’s love.
For any of you who may be feeling lonely or disappointed today in earthly love, or its lack, we stand with you in remembering a Love far greater than any other. And we pray that God will refresh you anew with his intimate care for you.
For all of us, let us remember God’s love today and pray as Paul writes to the Roman church, we are convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom 8:38 NLT)
May the presence of our loving God wrap his arms around you and remind you that you are forever cherished. And we give thanks that through our partnership together with those who love the Lord, others can hear and understand how deeply and personally God loves us all.
In his Love,
Graham and Ellie
